Letters from the Bishop
Bishop Matano addresses the faithful about the Coronavirus pandemic
March 16, 2020
March 17, 2020

Did you know? This event was inspired by YOU!

Fr. Ray wants to pass on the joy he felt from the parade for his 38th ordination anniversary. Our parish is therefore doing a food collection to recognize the amazing work St. Peter's Kitchen has been doing in our community. Two cars, representing our entire community, will later take the donations to St. Peter’s. Fr. Ray will bless our donations before they leave.

Events like these parades show that our parish is alive and vital during this pandemic. It is a way for us to demonstrate that we are a caring community even in socially distanced times. We will be following social distancing protocol, so please remember to wear a mask and stay in your car! We can’t wait to see you there from 6 feet away!

St. Monica Church is a vibrant and welcoming parish in the heart of the 19th Ward in Rochester, NY.  We invite you to join our family as we grow together in faith and hope for a 100 more years! Come and see what we're about.

All are welcome, especially you!

Our Vision & Mission

Our Vision:

We are a Resurrection people, rooted in our rich Catholic heritage.  We are growing in the Spirit, as individuals and as a faith community.

We answer the call to live out our Baptismal vocation in our daily lives, bringing the light of Christ's presence to our families, workplaces, neighborhoods and the world.

Our Mission:

We dare to live the life of Jesus Christ, transforming discouragement into hope, fear into love, isolation into community.
