Outreach

Creation Stewards: This ministry initiates and collaborates with other groups on creative and fun ways to help each other integrate good environmental practices into our lives and the life of our community.

Westside Farmers’ Market: Hosted in the St. Monica Church parking lot on Tuesdays from June through October from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade items and entertainment are just a few amenities you will encounter during your visit.

Quilt Ministry: This quilt ministry was developed as a way to re-use fabric strips that were tied together to symbolize the coming-together of four faith communities at the New St. Monica. Evolving now, the ministry creates lap quilts and coverings for persons in nursing homes or in special need of comfort.

Social Ministry: This ministry’s mission is to educate, encourage and empower the community to be a just and loving people, to establish right relationships and to build just social structures in our neighboring community, environmental concerns and its youth.

Wrap & Run: For over 20+ years, this ministry has been at Marketplace Mall each year beginning the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. Teams of volunteers from the parish work wrapping presents for mall shoppers for a nominal donation.
