Community Builders

Airport Seniors: On the Second Friday of the month, seniors meet at noon at the Blue Horizon Restaurant (Brooks Avenue across from the airport) for companionship, laughter and lunch.

First Friday Breakfast: On the first Friday of every month after the 8am Mass, this gathering is a prayerful way to start the day with companionship, great conversation and a light breakfast at the rectory.

Forty Week Club: Members donate $40.00 to the New St. Monica Parish in exchange for a chance at winning money prizes over a 40–week period. There are weekly, special and end prizes of varying amounts. Included in the membership is a culminating dinner at a local party house and a silent Auction which is an auxiliary fundraiser, in which attendees bid on various donated items. It is a great evening where members and guests gather to enjoy friendship in a social atmosphere.

New Parishioner’s Orientation: This ministry serves to welcome and orient new members to our parish community along with assisting you in pursuing a ministry that interests you.

Saturday Soup Group: On the last Saturday of the month, parishioners and visitors can enjoy a soup supper following the 4pm Mass as well as great conversation and friendship.

Website Development Team: Parish news is communicated through our weekly bulletin and our parish website www.stmonicarochester.org to our parish family and our neighboring communities.

Scouts - Venturing Crew: Troop 45 of the Boy Scouts is about to become a Venturing Crew focusing on high adventure. Open to girls and boys ages 14 – 20, meetings are held in the rectory basement twice a month. Under adult supervision, venturers conduct their own meetings and plan their outings with different activities.
